BlockchainUnmasked welcomes Paul Marrinan as new Chief Operating Officer

BlockchainUnmasked gears up for a new year of growth by BUilding executive leadership and appointing a new COO

After a year marked by milestone partnerships and landmark cases, we’re delighted to announce that Paul Marrinan has joined the BlockchainUnmasked team as our new Chief Operating Officer. With over 16  years of experience in international law enforcement and over 20 years in financial crime investigation, Paul brings a blend of investigative leadership, international expertise, and a deep understanding of financial technologies. This strategic hire reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and investigative support as we continue to fight illicit activity in the crypto industry.

Paul Marrinan, Chief Operating Officer

Paul brings a wealth of experience in financial crime investigations, particularly anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) involving cryptocurrencies, and a proven track record of leadership in complex, high-stakes environments, including international law enforcement and the private sector. 

Paul is the former Blockchain Intelligence Expert at TRM Labs, where he developed industry-leading insights on money laundering across the crypto ecosystem. While there, he created the largest crypto ATM dataset across the blockchain intelligence industry and identified predictive fraud and scam patterns to identify suspicious activity across the industry. Prior to his time at TRM Labs, Paul served as the Head of Investigations at Inca Digital and Detective with Interpol.

In his role at BlockchainUnmasked, Paul will oversee operational strategy and organizational scaling, ensuring we scale efficiently and remain at the forefront of investigations world-wide. His expertise and experience will be instrumental as we reach new milestones in our work to make crypto crime solvable.
